the waves before the super typhoon hit siargao island on tuesday morning about 3-4ft chest to head high clean with some clean and long overhead high. this morning according to perran an english guy this morning swell pretty good. the wave overhead high clean,. the gentle to light winds blowing onshore and forecast to stayed onshore all day, the shine wih partly cloudy skies and smooth seas. high tide at 8am crowd only 2 surfers.
At 2AM today, the Typhoon {International Name: BOPHA(1224)} was located based on satellite and surface data at 1,380 km East of Southern Mindanao (05.8 °N, 138.8 °E) with maximum sustained winds of 175 kph and gustiness of up to 210 kph. It is forecast to move West Northwest at 20 kph.
