Huey still likes us,the 2-3ft swell hung around and allowed the !7th Cloud 9 International contest to be ran and finished this morning before low tide.Which opened the wave up for everyone this afternoon.Wind started the day really strong offshore from the west then moved north for awhile then backed off and came back around to the west again.Crowd in the afternoon was up to the ridiculous number of at least 30-40 again even as much for the contest winner to be abused for pulling back on a wave from a very irate japanese local.

Huey likes us again,the swell has increased a little and moved around to the northeast.Swell has picked up to about 2ft with the occasional 3fters coming through even throwing some short barrels coming into mid tide.The 17th Annual International contest was commenced at 6;30 am in reasonable conditions.Wind started the day as a light offshore but gradually increased in strength and direction moved more to the north as the morning progressed.The crowd was kept to the nice number of lucky 5 per heat but with the bikini contest being held in General Luna last night there was a few hangovers around and all the reserve contestants and more where used.

It was sad crowd 9 again today,although the swell did swing around more to the north which is a much better direction than south.The wind was a horrible easterly early then progressed around more northerly during the day,so just cross shore becoming totally onshore.Crowd factor was horrific again with everyone out the just having some fun as part of the 2nd surfing festival,today picture is catangnan local and highest placed local in the billabong pro junior Philmar Alipayo and his french girlfriend Ananda riding a longboard tandem.

The swell possibly dropped a little but was fairly well about the same size today.Wind was the biggest change with no wind at all first thing making for some nice glass tubes at cloud 9,then during the morning it picked up from the west again to almost howling offshore at lunchtime and early afternoon and now backing off again coming into sunset.Crowd was ok at 6am around the 15 mark then lifting up to probably 30 midmorning and then again in the afternoon maybe up to 40 until i drove past in my boat to surf something else that was breaking due to a swell direction change so about 17 of the sheep followed me.

Again for the 3rd day in a row the swell has dropped another half a foot to around the 2ft mark,direction has stayed from the north.Wind has been medium to strong strength form the west.Crowd has stayed relitively small to under 15.Hopefully a new swell will arrive in the next couple of days from the developing typhoon as long as it doesn't go too west too fast.

The swell has dropped another half ft again today and in consistancy also,but if you where in the right place you could still get a decent barrel.Wind stayed from the west venturing around to the norwest for awhile then going back to the west.Crowd was smaller most of the day being worst when i was there from 3-5pm and Catangnan local Otic made the effort to count everyone of which he typically exagerated and made the call of 40 so my responce was "bullshit tic" so he corrected himself to"ok 27 mike".

Huey and whatever other gods there are where smiling on us here at cloud 9 and the billabong pro junior today,the swell was slow to start but with the incoming tide it seems to has risen another half a ft to 3.5-4ft on the sets.Wind has remained offshore most of the morning and hopefully may stay there into the afternoon.Crowd at clowd 9 was better this morning with only about 15 at first light instead of yesterdays 20-30.So jump in and enjoy all the waves evrywhere everybody.

The small swell has stayed around possibly swing a touch to the east and is a similar size.Wind has been a bit different today though starting in the southeast lighty and moving around to the east with a medium strength just to really make conditions for the National contest even less contestable,but in true filipino style they are still out there enjoying themselves and having a go

Thankfully the swell lifted half a foot today up to about 1 and a half foot and made it almost rideable.The national contest continued as the agile filipino's tried their very best to boost some airs and manuovers in the small conditions.The wind started the morning as it has been coming perfect offshore then swung around to the south east again and then back around to a light westerly again this afternoon just to complete the circuit.

Yesterday afternoon seen a slight increase in swell size to around the 2 ft mark,increasing in power just a touch also.This has continued through until this morning with it being the same size.Wind is still only light but is totally cross shore from the east.Crowd was 5 as i paddled out just before 5am and has maintained around the 15 mark all morning.

Cloud 9 Ocean 101 surf report

At 6am this morning the whole ocean had a onshore wind ruffle to it.This was pushed away by a light westerly at around 8am and as the tide dropped with less water on the reef a small ripple started to break at cloud 9.Crowd stayed under 6 most of the morning.Hopefully tomorrow will bring something more.
